“If you’re looking for the word that means caring about someone beyond all rationality and wanting them to have everything they want no matter how much it destroys you, it’s love. And when you love someone you don’t stop, ever. Even when people roll their eyes, and call you crazy. Even then. Especially then.”
These are the words Ted told Jeanette during the last season of How I Met Your Mother.
Being an INTP, my secret agenda is to love. I would like to believe in Ted. I would like to believe that love is that superficial, but in a world full of Ted and Barney, I cannot be a Robin to a single person.
Do people in real life, love as much as Ted loves Robin? Is that a real thing? It seems like everybody moves on. Everybody gets tired of someone.
Is it true that if you really love a person, you would take a leap of faith even though it may rip your hearts into million pieces? I think humans are selfish. When they get hurt, they will abandon you.
Do people really have the love of their lives or is it just a make-believe idea?
Maybe, love is overrated. Maybe, movies just give us an unrealistic concept of love.
