Mt. Ulap

I am no hiker. I do hike sometimes, but I do not consider myself as one. I think claiming to be one is a slap in the face of true hikers who spend time, effort, and money.

I decided to join a day-hike tour with a friend. We hiked Mt Ulap, located at Itogon, Benguet. Mt. Ulap is a beginner-friendly hike, having a 3/9 trail class. Most parts of the trail are just like a walk in the park, and I’m not kidding!

Normally, the trail is not cloudy. However, when we hiked Mt. Ulap, it’s very rare to see green pastures, as you can see in the pictures below. “Ulap” is the Filipino word for clouds. I even sent a video to my friend while traversing and joked, “We’re here at Mt. Ulap right now. It’s so foggy. As you can see, it’s really Mt. Ulap.”

Lucky me! I was the only one who was able to take a picture on the iconic spot in Mt Ulap with visible green pasture.
